Girls Empowerment and Leadership Summit (G.E.L)
The Girls’ Empowerment Leadership Summit (GEL) was created to promote young women’s empowerment. The program began as a leadership training program, for Middle and High school-aged girls, to focus on local women as role models. The GEL Summit is highly successful in contributing toward developing self-esteem, confidence, self-definition, and leadership skills as well as social consciousness and commitment to citizenship in the participants. This annual half-day program is open to young ladies between the ages of 11-18.
This conference celebrates being the beautiful, powerful young ladies they are. It provides young ladies with powerful information and tools to assist with developing leadership skills, increase self-confidence, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and increase knowledge about women’s history, health, girl’s issues and concerns.
Empowerment and motivation sessions encourage girls to feel good about the will also be presented. Participants will:
- Develop powerful leadership skills.
- Meet with and learn from accomplished women.
- Learn about the role of women in state government, entrepreneurship, education, consultations and religion
- Increase self-confidence, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.
- Increase knowledge about women’s history, health, girl’s issues and concerns.

- “Exploring the “Self” Within You: Setting Goals and Motivating Yourself to Succeed
